Real-Time Payments

Real-time payments that never sleep

We help banks, payment operators and fintechs design and run instant payment platforms that move money in seconds, around the clock, with ISO 20022 messaging, live liquidity control and new services built on top.

The challenge

What our clients are up against

01

Always on, no maintenance window

Platforms built for daily batches must now process, settle and reconcile continuously, including weekends and holidays.

02

Liquidity and risk in real time

Funds leave the moment a payment is accepted, so treasury, fraud and risk teams need live visibility rather than end-of-day reports.

03

More than moving money

Cardholders and businesses expect request-to-pay, QR code payments and open banking services, not just faster transfers.

FAQ

Questions we often hear

Can't find your answer? Ask a consultant.

How is an instant payment platform different from what we run today?

Traditional batch systems collect payments and settle them later, often once a day. Instant payment platforms accept, clear and settle each payment in seconds, at any hour. That changes how you manage liquidity, detect fraud, staff operations and reconcile accounts. We help you plan for each of these, not only the technology.

What is request-to-pay?

Request-to-pay is a service where a business sends a payment request that the payer approves in their banking app, and the money then moves over instant payment rails. It can replace invoices, direct debits and some card payments. We design the request, approval and status flows and connect them to your existing channels.

Do we need ISO 20022 for real-time payments?

Most instant payment schemes and high-value systems now use ISO 20022, a richer message standard that carries more structured data than older formats. Many institutions still run ISO 8583 for cards alongside it. We design message mapping and transformation so both coexist on one platform.

How do you approach fraud when payments settle in seconds?

Fraud checks must run before the payment is accepted, within the scheme's time limit. We design scoring that combines rules, behavioral signals and machine learning, with clear thresholds for when to approve, hold or decline. We also plan the operational processes for disputes and recovery after funds have moved.
